The REDA initiative was born from the urgent need to protect the Amazon forest and its traditional communities. The region faces multiple threats, including the dismantling of environmental public policies, threats to the demarcation of indigenous territories, a rise in extreme climate events, and the spread of environmental misinformation, especially within Christian communities.
To address this, REDA mobilizes Catholic and Evangelical audiences by empowering Christian leaders and organizations. We offer training in communications and campaigns, as well as educational programs on “Eco-prophecy“—a framework that connects biblical and theological principles with climate justice. The network includes over 30 Christian leaders from the Legal Amazon and has successfully conducted a series of mobilization campaigns since 2022.
