Flávio Conrado
As a child from the suburbs of Rio, I have been living in Brasília for 12 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from UERJ, and I hold both a master’s and a doctorate in Sociology and Anthropology from UFRJ, where I focused on religious and political studies. I also completed a post-doctorate at the University of Montreal.
From an early age, I have sought to combine my faith with sociopolitical actions. My career has been built on human rights activism as a researcher, articulator, consultant, and campaign advisor. My work has focused on promoting justice and fighting inequality alongside various organizations, collectives, and networks in both the civil and religious sectors. I have had the privilege of serving on the board of international faith-based organizations like Christian Peacemaker Teams and GreenFaith. I was also a co-founder and editor of both Novos Diálogos and Plataforma Intersecções. I conceived the Reimaginar Festival and co-edited the compilation Reimagining Church in Brazil: 40 Evangelical Voices with Clemir Fernandes.
