I am a native of Minas Gerais with a deep affection for the sertão and the São Francisco River, which I consider the river of my life.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a master’s in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). My professional path was shaped by my early experiences with civil society organizations, particularly within the Catholic Church’s Social Pastoral.
From 2011 to 2019, I had the opportunity to serve as an advisor for Cáritas Brasileira, first in Minas Gerais and later for the National Secretariat. Following that, I was the articulation coordinator for REPAM-Brasil from 2019 to 2020, where I supported the mobilization for the Amazon Synod, convened by Pope Francis.
Since co-founding Casa Galileia in 2021, my work is driven by the belief that the power of mobilized Christian communities can be a catalyst for advancing human rights, socio-environmental justice, and democracy in the face of today’s challenges.
